x summit

27 and 28 November 2021

The X Interamerican Scout Summit - Virtual Mode was one of the important milestones in the participatory process for the formulation of the 2022-2025 Regional Plan and to achieve the commitment of the NSOs with its objectives. It developed the preliminary versions of the key performance indicators (KPI) and the commitments of the National Scout Organizations with the objectives recently elaborated during the Meeting of the Regional Networks. The sessions took place in virtual spaces using the Zoom platform.

Participants Profile

For a better fulfillment of the objectives of the Interamerican Scout Summit, the "ideal" delegation that will allow to participate actively in the programme is suggested as follows:

  1. The Chairperson of the NSO, as the representative functions inherent to this position.
  2. The National Chief Scout, Executive Director or Chief Commissioner, in attention of the executive leadership tasks that he or she normally carries out.
  3. The International Commissioner, due to the tasks of international relations that are proper to him/her.
  4. Young scouts or scout leaders aged between 18 and 26 years inclusive.

The Interamerican Scout Committee strongly recommends that delegations maintain generational, gender and individual balance of responsibilities in both the government and the operation of the NSO, in such a way as to show the diversity of our Movement. If one of the people suggested above may not be part of the delegation so that the people that are sent on behalf of the NSOs, have sufficient knowledge and understanding of their national strategic plans and are able to make national commitments with regard to the fulfilment of the objectives of the Regional Plan.

Each NSO can register up to 8 participants to the X Interamerican Scout Summit.
